Who we are

We are a team of experienced experts in psychology and software development.

For more than 30 years, we have been supporting companies of all sizes as well as public sector organisations in the selection of personnel and the development of potential.

Even before assessments became online and digital, we worked internationally and helped filling many thousands of positions with the most suitable candidates. On all five continents, we have met and tested around 100,000 applicants in person in group and individual assessments and have shared our insights with them and received qualified feedback from them.

The abcî was developed on the basis of these personal experiences and from the accumulated treasure of 100 years of research and findings in work and organisational psychology. The abcî is the product of years of experience in the selection of the best fit in new employees for a wide range of sectors and hierarchy levels.

Our experts are always in contact with colleagues in scientific research in order to incorporate their findings into practical aptitude diagnostics for the benefit of our partners and all participating applicants.

We are happy to pass on our expertise in the field of aptitude testing to practitioners with a thirst for knowledge within the framework of professional training at the DIN Academy.

In addition to advising and supporting our partners, we also train university students as lecturers in research methods, statistics and aptitude diagnostics.

With research projects, lectures, publications, with our podcast “Die Richtigen” and last but not least our informative website www.eignungsdiagnostik.info, we actively contribute to the scientific and practice-oriented discussion on the topics of personnel decisions and aptitude diagnostics in Germany

We have been committed to quality in aptitude testing since more than 30 years. Our founder, Harald Ackerschott is co-initiator of the German standard on aptitude testing DIN 33430 and had the honour to serve also as the project leader for the last revision of the international standard ISO 10667 that achieved its goal in 2020. He currently serves as the convenor of working group 5 “recruitment” in ISO committee 260 “Human Resource Management”.

Together with Prof. Günther Schmidt and Norbert Gantner, he wrote a widely read guidebook on the practical application of DIN 33430.

No. If you only have a few applications or no person meets all requirements at first glance, the right tool can even give your more choice. It identifies those applicants who can learn missing skills or competences the most quickly.

Assessments gather information that cannot be collected from other steps in the process. In this way, they complement the impressions gained from application documents and interviews.

First of all, online assessments save time and money. Let’s talk about your numbers.

The abcî provides varieties for the selection of different applicant groups. There is one for young people who just start a career and there are special setups for even senior management. abcî can also be used to support the identification of personnel development measures.

Participants are given the opportunity to view their individual results directly after they have completed the assessment. Thereby, the process becomes transparent for everyone. This ensures a high level of acceptance among all target groups.

Yes, in most cases this is possible. Please indicate your applicant management system on our contact page.
